Global Basketball Summer League (GBSL) is the top International summer event that features NBA officiating, internet television coverage with color analyst and play by play commentating.
Our event division’s management team successfully created both the leading brands in the summer exposure basketball market. Over 800 former players that attended the past events are currently playing professional basketball.
Format
The GBSL provides (10) international teams the opportunity to select (10) players of their choice to evaluate a few days prior to the NBA Summer League. The event duplicates the NBA Summer League format and uses exclusively NBA referees and regulations. Our event is a training platform for the NBA Officiating Department for their developing referees. All games feature official NBA Summer League rule including (40) minutes of regulation time, (4) quarters with a (24) second shot clock.
The past (2) summers, top teams from the BBL (England), NBL Canada, Switzerland, Finland and the Super League in Kosovo have had their summer league teams participate in the event.
Talent
The players consist of 2017-18 NCAA Division 1 starters, 2017-18 Small College All Americans or professional players that competed in the NBDL or quality FIBA related international leagues in the 2017-18 season. The event features eighty (80) players comprised of (8) teams that compete in a quarter-final tournament. Hundreds of overseas scouts, coaches and agents will attend the 2018 GBSL Las Vegas event.
Media
The GBSL features (20) games that will be broadcast by a media team comprised of upcoming sportscasters and reporters. The media team will create special sideline stories, post game interviews and have play by play announcing in every GBSL game. Global Basketball online media resource markets the GBSL results to NBA executives, overseas coaches, college coaches, athletic administrators, agents and other prominent sports figures. The GBSL ensures maximum exposure to the most important decision makers in the Global Basketball Community.
